In addition to financial support, Affinion Group is establishing an employee volunteer program, including a year-round calendar of events and activities to benefit the Mission.

"We're proud to be partnering with the Bridgeport Rescue Mission and support their cause of helping local Fairfield County families in need," said Affinion Group Chief Human Resources Officer James Daly.

"Fairfield County is our headquarters and home, and our employees have always enthusiastically supported Bridgeport Rescue Mission through annual clothing and food drives. This partnership allows us to expand the relationship with a year-round employee volunteer program to support the local community."

As the first step in this new partnership, Affinion has committed to be a Gold Sponsor for Bridgeport Rescue Mission's annual Great ThanksGiving Project. The event, held at Bridgeport's Webster Arena from Nov. 18 to 23, at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, provides over 3,000 turkeys, fixings bags and 15,000 winter coats to area families in need.

Affinion has made a $70,000 commitment to the Great ThanksGiving Project, including a donation of thousands of gift card codes, redeemable at area stores in Bridgeport and Stratford.

The nonprofit Bridgeport Rescue Mission was founded in 1993, to address hunger, homelessness and addiction in Fairfield County. It provides a variety of services to the community, including a food and clothing outreach program; emergency shelters for men, women and children; and job training and employment services.

"We are grateful for this new partnership," said Bridgeport Rescue Mission Executive Director Terry Wilcox. "We are eager to work together to meet the needs in our community and look forward to deepening our relationship with Affinion Group in the coming months."

Affinion describes itself as "one of the world's leading loyalty and customer engagement solutions companies, servicing over 250 million consumers with more than 5,500 client partner relationships and over 40 years of experience." Based in Stamford, the company has over 3,000 employees, located in 20 countries.
