Sissman’s oil paintings are collected by individuals on three continents and by healing organizations nationwide.

“Every painting is a self portrait. I do not paint flowers,” says Sissman.

“I use form, color, and texture to convey emotions, she said. "Having no faces of their own, flowers in my work represent images with which viewers of diverse backgrounds can relate. Unencumbered by personal features, they serve as portraits of human nature. My landscapes, like my flowers, are not merely intended to reflect nature but rather to project an inner reflection, a metaphorical Journey. I admire the intensity of emotions found in the works of the Expressionists. Like them, I too mix my soul with my paints. However, I strive to be subtle in my expression of the intense.”

Sissman is an elected Fellow of The American Artists Professional League. Her art was featured in the film, "Something Borrowed," starring Kate Hudson, and it was the subject of a television interview. Sissman is the founder of www.ArtistAdvisory.com, which promotes the success of visual artists working in all mediums and styles. She is the author of "Getting YOUR Art into Corporate Collections: Why it pays, How to do it, Who to contact," which is available at www.ArtistAdvisory.com/ebook.html.

An artist reception will take place on Thursday, March 19, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public and artwork will be for sale. Viewing hours are 6 a.m. to midnight daily. For additional information about Sissman’s art, visit: www.Liron.com.
