Sissman’s landscapes, like her flowers, are not merely intended to reflect nature but rather to project an inner reflection, a metaphorical journey.

“I admire the intensity of emotions found in the works of the Expressionists. Like them, I too mix my soul with my paints. However, I strive to be subtle in my expression of the intense."

Sissman’s art is collected by individuals on three continents and by healing organizations nationwide. Sissman is an elected Fellow of The American Artists Professional League. Her art was recently featured in Warner Brothers’ “Something Borrowed,” starring Kate Hudson.

Sissman will host an Open Studio event on Sunday, Nov. 23, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Stamford, Conn. Admission is free and all are invited. A large selection of oil paintings and limited edition prints will be on display. RSVP by Monday, Nov. 17 to Liron@Liron.com Address provided upon RSVP.
