Malloy To Attend Stamford Boys & Girls Club's City Chic Event

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Gov. Dannel Malloy will return to his hometown to join the dignitaries, award winners and supporters of the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford at its 2013 City Chic awards ceremony Thursday.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel, 700 E. Main St.

The honorees are GE Corp. for the Corporate Partnership Award and Richard Redniss of Redniss & Mead, a firm of land surveyors, civil engineers and planning and zoning consultants, for the Guardian of the Community Award.  

The host of the fundraising event is Bill Evans, meteorologist on WABC-TV in New York. Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased online. Call 203-324-0594 for more information. 

The Boys & Girls Club of Stamford is a youth facility that is open daily, managed by a professional staff and available and affordable to all youth. It has provided after-school activities and youth development services since 1927.
