While waiting in a lengthy line to buy a “10X The Cash 11th Edition” ticket, Sukatski actually left for a short while.

But she soon returned to wait in line after a fellow customer was kind enough to let her back into the same spot she was in before.

Sukatski told CT Lottery officials that getting back in line really paid off.

After bringing the ticket home to play, Sukatski was ecstatic when she found she had won the top prize.

“I did a double take, stood up — walked around the coffee table saying, ‘Oh my God, Oh my god! I called my fiancé. He asked, ‘Is this $2,000?’ I said, ‘Multiply that by 5!’”

To the spread the good news, Sukatski texted pictures of her winning ticket to her family. Excited to celebrate with her loved ones, she plans to take her family out to dinner — and wants to buy her son a car for his upcoming 21st birthday.

Summing up her winning experience Sukatski smiled and said, “I got lucky.”

For selling the winning ticket, Super Stop & Shop at 1937 W. Main St. in Stamford will receive a $100 check from the CT Lottery.
