Literacy Volunteers Program Holds Registration For Students

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Literacy Volunteers, a program of Family Centers, is currently accepting students for its fall English as a second language (ESL) classes in Stamford and Greenwich.

Literacy Volunteers offers a variety of ESL courses during daytime and evening hours for beginner, intermediate and advanced learners. All courses are free and are held at 17 community locations throughout Stamford and Greenwich. 

Registration and information sessions will be held at the following times and locations: 

  • Thursday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. - Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd. in Stamford 
  • Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. - DOMUS, 83 Lockwood Ave. in Stamford 
  • Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. - DOMUS, 83 Lockwood Ave. in Stamford 
  • Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. - DOMUS, 83 Lockwood Ave. in Stamford
  • Monday, Sept. 26 at 9:30 a.m. - First Congregational Church, 1 Walton Place in Stamford 
  • Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. - BANC Byram Archibald Neighborhood Center, 289 Delavan Ave. in Greenwich
