The grant provided 40 low-income families with scholarships to the camp, which served more than 250 youths. The camp operate provided a variety of activities, including extended learning, sports, chess, fine arts and social recreation.
“The Fairfield County Community Foundation continues to demonstrate their incredible support for the children of Stamford, as well as for the youth of Fairfield County overall," said Michael Cotela, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford.
"We are grateful for their generosity and for their help in providing a summer alternative for our neediest children. It is because of community minded organizations like the Fairfield County Community Foundation that these children will be off the streets and benefit from the services of the Boys & Girls Club.”

The Boys & Girls Club of Stamford provides a safe and positive environment for our area youth to take part in more than 40 comprehensive youth development programs.
