“I thought about the children at Christmas who are sick in the hospital and how happy they would be to get a toy to cheer them,” said the Stanwich School student.

Last week, the 13-year-old brought a carload of gifts to Greenwich Hospital with her mom and Ryan Accurso, teen coordinator of the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich.

Pray set up a toy collection box at the club, creating another one at her school for wrapping paper.

Her mom and her best friend, Sophia Human of Western Middle School, helped out.

Norman Roth, president and CEO of Greenwich Hospital, thanked Pray and the others, telling them the toys would be distributed in the Pediatric Clinic and the Pediatric and Behavioral Health units.

“I felt special because I was helping others,” said Pray. “This made me feel good.”
