Future 5 Hires First Development Director In Stamford

In this newly created position, Horowitz’s main responsibility will be to develop and build a major gifts program for Future 5, according to a press release. She also will work to cultivate strong and vast donor relationships within the Stamford community and surrounding areas, as well as handling proposal and grant writing and developing systems for tracking, maintaining and acknowledging gifts, according to a press release.

Stamford resident Horowitz joins Future 5 from her previous position as acting vice president at United Jewish Federation of Greater Stamford, New Canaan and Darien, where she was responsible for closing the end-of-year campaign, managing the annual telethon and planning community wide outreach events.

Prior to this Horowitz was an associate director in the development department at the non-profit Consumer Reports where she focused on major gifts.

“This is an exciting time for Future 5. We have proven that our mission and model is working. What is holding us back from connecting with more students and having a greater impact, is the lack of a financial foundation that fuels expansion. Horowitz’s experience makes her an ideal candidate to be our first development director, that will allow us to more closely focus on building strong financial capacity,” said Clif McFeely, founder and executive director of Future 5, in a press release.
