In addition to regular library services, the DiMattia Main Library offers films, concerts and other programs on Sundays. First Niagara’s contribution will underwrite Sunday hours of operation from 1 to 5 p.m. through the month of January.

“First Niagara’s contribution has allowed us to continue to offer library service on Sundays, one of the most important days of the week in terms of public access,” said Alice Knapp, president of the Ferguson Library. “We’re thrilled to have such a generous and responsive corporate partner.”

With this contribution, the library expects to welcome about 1,000 visitors each Sunday.

First Niagara has supported the Ferguson Library’s Sunday sponsorship program since it was established four years ago.

“First Niagara is proud to be a part of the Stamford community, and we look forward to continuing our support for the Ferguson Library, which is a resource for lifelong learning for local families,” said Robert Cerminaro, senior vice president of First Niagara Bank.

The Ferguson Library is located at One Public Library Plaza on the corner of Broad Street and Bedford Street. For more information, visit the library’s website
