"I didn't think all my friends needed to know I was looking for a dry cleaner in town, so I set up a page asking for support," she said. When that took off -- she set up another page. And another.

That was five years ago and now the Fairfield mother of two is a bonafide social media influencer with more than 60 pages on Facebook, some with up to 1.5 million visitors.

She also does content marketing for a host of clients and has a new Facebook Page @Kloud9TV where she does nine-minute (and less) videos focusing on local and national interest stories. Coming up soon: An interview with Actress Jill Kargman of "Odd Mom Out."

As for her Facebook pages  -- the nuts and bolts of her business -- they run the gamut from finding sitters on University Sitters in Fairfield County (7,100 followers) to asking about best family-friendly restaurants on Fairfield County Friends & Family (4,894 members) or anything else pertaining to the county.

Most popular sites include University Sitters, Westport & Fairfield Parents, Trumbull & Shelton Parents, Greenwich & Stamford Parents, Darien & New Canaan Parents, Move It, Move It, Fairfield County, The Daily PaRant and Party Spaces.

The point of the pages, she said, is immediacy and support. "People post requests and availability and get response ASAP."

Folks also like the camaraderie of the community groups.

The number of followers varies with each page depending on what folks are looking for and need.

Evans said she loves the medium and hopes to continue to grow it, especially with her new videos. "Social media is a quick way to share information and shine a light on a business or a cause," she said.

Never in her wildest dreams did she think a simple question about a dry cleaner could lead to what amounts to a full-time business but she loves every minute of it. Next up: Setting up her Roku channel.

As her motto says: She'll keep you posted.
