STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Commodores are bringing their “Easy” sound to Stamford’s Town Center.

The legendary Motown and R&B artists will hit the Budweiser Stage at 6:30 p.m. on July 29 at the Stamford Town Center, 100 Greyrock Place, as part of Jazz-Up July, in partnership with Morgan Stanley and sponsored by Woodloch Resort.

The Commodores rose to fame in the late 70s and early 80s with hits such as “Brick House” and “Three Times a Lady” as well as “Easy” and “Nightshift.” Since their inception in 1968, the band has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide and collected seven No. 1 singles, five No. 1 albums and 20 top-10 singles.

Today’s current Commodores lineup -- which formerly featured Lionel Richie -- consists of Walter “Clyde” Orange, James Dean “J.D.” Nicholas and William “WAK” King.
