STAMFORD, Conn. Help the Stamford Family YMCA raise money for a multi-purpose educational kitchen and dine on prized dishes at Fine Food for a Cause on Jan. 30. The evening will feature signature dishes from about a dozen local chefs.
Scott Wapner from CNBCs Fast Money Halftime Report will emcee the event, which will also honor restaurateur Joe Bastianich and 2011 Miss America Teresa Scanlan . There will also be live and silent auctions.
The kitchen will be used to teach cooking skills and nutrition classes for underprivileged Stamford residents, a press release said.
Participating restaurants include Barcelona Restaurant & Wine Bar , Columbus Park Trattoria , Da Pietros Restaurant , Davids Soundview Catering , Forte Gelato , Match , Mortons The Steakhouse , Napa & Co. , Tappo , Tarry Lodge , Taste by karla sorrentino , Strada 18 , Sushi Village and Sweet Lisas Exquisite Cakes .
The affair begins at 6:30 p.m. at 203 Studios , 112 Southfield Ave., Stamford. General tickets are $150 and Angel VIP access tickets are $250. Corporate sponsorships are available, the release said.
