In his speech, Pelley called childhood poverty a “ticking time bomb in our lives, and now is the time to do something about it.”
The breakfast event held Tuesday was to benefit the the Stamford-based soup kitchen, sponsored by Catholic Charities. It served 675,000 meals last year through its soup kitchen, food pantry and after-school programs and is open 365 days a year. It is located at 90 Fairfield Ave. in Stamford.
