The ninth annual Stamford Hospital Dream Ball is set to welcome past and present stars of the Broadway musicals "Jersey Boys," "Hairspray," "Motown: The Musical" and "Beautiful," starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at Stamford Hospital's Tully Health Center, 32 Strawberry Hill Court in Stamford.

"Guests will be transported to Broadway as the Doo Wop Project sing and dance their way into the audience's heads and hearts with Doo Wop-inspired renditions of hits from Michael Jackson to Jason Mraz and plenty of Broadway show tunes in-between," the release said.

"Conceived backstage at The August Wilson Theater in Manhattan, home of the 'Jersey Boys,' the Doo Wop Project creates a multigenerational jukebox musical experience. These lead voices mix the old and new to bring audience members that authentic Doo Wop sound, while sharing their personal stories and show business experiences."

The Dream Ball promises to feature dinner, dancing, a silent auction and a Giving Tree, with proceeds supporting programs and services that benefit the hospital's patients and their families. Last year's gala ball raised more than $700,000 and was attended by more than 700 guests from Stamford, Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan.

The ball will begin with cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing at 7 p.m. For more information, contact Kari Pollak at 203-276-2554 or kpollak@stamhealth.org.
