Bennett Salvatore's Favorite Things About Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — National Basketball Association referee Bennett Salvatore has grown up and raised a family in Stamford.

At the top of his list of favorite things about the city are the people; Salvatore says the residents are the reason his hometown is so great.

He also likes the schools and teachers, saying, “They do a wonderful job teaching and preparing our kids for the future.”

Salvatore likes the sports scene in Stamford, both in the schools and at the recreational level.

Rounding out his list are the restaurants in the city, though he declined to name any specific places: “I go to a lot of them and wouldn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings,” he said.
