Annual Tree Lighting Brightens Stamford's Springdale Neighborhood

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Springdale Neighborhood Association is inviting Stamford residents to come out for the annual holiday tree lighting. 

The association is promising an afternoon of holiday treats and music starting at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at Springdale Memorial Park in Stamford. The afternoon and evening event is also set to feature the Springdale School Chorus and Activities for Kids Choir. 

The Neighborhood Association is also hosting a nonperishable food drive during the tree lighting. Residents are invited to bring nonperishable food items to the lighting ceremony. 

Springdale Memorial Park is located next to Amore's Restaurant and the Springdale Train Station.
