The Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation focuses on supporting the arts, children’s health, education and veterans. It is the family charity of Steven Cohen, the founder of SAC Capital Advisors, a Stamford-based hedge fund.

The grant will help fund some of Bruce Museum’s upcoming programs such as Family Studio workshops and provide assistance to existing initiatives for at-risk youth as well as community members with memory loss.

“We are delighted to have received such broad support for education from the Cohen Foundation,” Peter C. Sutton, museum executive director of the Bruce Museum, said in a press release.

“This funding supports our ongoing efforts to serve all of our constituencies – from the very young to the very old – and offer them world-class educational programming in the arts.”
