So sit back and take a virtual sip. Daily Voice readers have picked five nominees in our ongoing DVlicious contest.

You have until 5 p.m. on Friday Oct. 23 to cast your vote for "Best Cocktails in Fairfield County." Go here.

But first, wet your whistle on the following. Each finalist is being profiled this week.

J House, 1114 E Putnam Ave., Riverside, (203) 698-6980

Cocktails Offered: 11

Most Fun Concoction: Cocktails are named based on neighborhoods around the hotel. Among a popular one: Cos Cob Whiskey, made, according to Head Bartender Alejandro Torres, with one of the best bourbons on the market, along with fresh squeezed lime, touch of housemade simple syrup, egg white foam, and garnished with a cinnamon stick. There's also a Greenwich Old Fashioned made with luxardo cherries, Bulleit Rye Whiskey and citrus orange bitters.

One of the most popular cocktails is the Fallen Leaf, made with muddled cucumber, fresh squeezed lime juice, simple syrup, orange liquor and tequila de agave.

Shaken and Stirred: J House is all about fresh ingredients, housemade syrups and its own twist on classics. The restaurant's Cosmo, for example, is made with Elderflower liquor, white cranberry juice, citrus vodka, and chopped fresh strawberry.

Remember, drink responsibly, and be aware that you can only vote once.
