Cruise The Danube With Fairfield, Norwalk Chambers Of Commerce

FAIRFIELD, Conn. --A group from the Fairfield and Norwalk Chambers of Commerce will take a river cruise on the Danube in September.

Those interested in joining the trip may attend a presentation Tuesday, Feb. 21 at The Boathouse Restaurant at Saugatuck Rowing Club in Westport.

The cruise from Sept. 28 to Oct. 7 will make stops at the Imperial cities of Europe along the Danube.

Chamber members, guests, family and the public may join the trip. The cruise will stop in Munich, Passau, Melk, Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava, and Linz, with an optional 3-night extension stay in Prague. 

Light appetizers and beverages will be served at Tuesday's presentation to see photos and videos and hear about these cities that have been unchanged for centuries.

The ship has just 71 cabins to provide comfort without crowds. Meals with wine are included.

Bookings before March 3 will get a  $200 discount off the regular tour price, which starts at $3,999 for double occupancy. 

Some cabins are already reserved.

Tuesday's presentation from 5:30 to 7 p.m. will be at 521 Riverside Ave., Westport. It is free and open to the public.
