Monday, Nov. 26 Treats & Treasures : 6 p.m. Sample wines and desserts from local merchants and holiday shop at the Tully Health Center, 32 Strawberry Hill Court. The entry fee is $10 and 20 percent of sales will go to breast cancer programs.
Zoning Board : 7 p.m. The city’s zoning board will meet for a public hearing on a number of issues and will discuss the boatyard in Harbor Point. The meeting will be in the cafeteria of the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd.
Tuesday, Nov. 27 Holiday Centerpiece Wreath Workshop : 1 p.m. The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens, 151 Brookdale Place, will host local professionals helping people build their own centerpiece wreaths for the holidays. Admission is $25 for members and $35 for non-members.
Board of Education : 7 p.m. The full board will meet for its monthly meeting to discuss and decide upon important issues facing the public schools. The meeting will take place in the conference room on the fifth floor of the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd.
Wednesday, Nov. 28
An Evening With Ed Burns : 7:30 p.m. Filmmaker and actor Ed Burns will be at the Avon Theatre, 272 Bedford St., presenting his film “The Fitzgerald Family Christmas,” and answering questions from the audience.
Thursday, Nov. 29
World AIDS Day InterFaith Service : 7 p.m. The InterFaith Council of Fairfield County will hold a night of remembrance, awareness, hope, and healing at First United Methodist Church, 42 Cross Road, next to Lord & Taylor’s.
Friday, Nov. 30
Outdoor Adventures : 7 p.m. Take the kids to the Stamford Museum & Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road, to learn all about nature’s oddities and find out why animals are made the way they are. Admission is $5 for members and $8 for non-members. Add your own events to our calendar here .
