What To Do This Weekend Around Stamford

Friday April 26

Celebrate Arbor Day: 9 a.m. The town of New Canaan will be honoring Warren Kelley, former tree warden, by planting a tree in Mead Park.

Saturday, April 27

Alien Invaders with Animal Embassy: 4 to 6 p.m. Animal Embassy will be at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road, leading a hike and teaching kids about “Alien Invaders.” Admission is $5 for members of the nature center and $8 for non-members.

Spring Vernal Pools Night Hike: 7 to 8:30 p.m. The New Canaan Nature Center, 144 Oenoke Ridge, will host a night hike that will include listening to frogs, salamanders and other animals enjoy the night. Admission is $6 for members of the nature center and $8 for non-members.

Sunday, April 28

Bumps, Babies, & Beyond Expo: 12 to 4 p.m. For anyone expecting or planning to have a child or grandchild should head to the Italian Center, 1620 Newfield Ave., Stamford. The event is $5 at the door.
