What To Do In Stamford This Weekend

STAMFORD, Conn. — Basketball, a gun buy-back and the celebration of the Lunar New Year are some of the events going on this weekend in Stamford. To see other happenings visit the Events Page.

Friday, Jan. 25

High School Basketball: 7 p.m. The Trinity Catholic boys team will head to New Canaan and Westhill will host Brien McMahon on Friday night. Both games take place at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 26

Stamford Police Gun Buy-Back: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Police will be at the Chester Addison Community Center, 268 Selleck St., giving gift cards for working firearms. They will collect all weapons and violent video games as well.

Sunday, Jan. 27

Celebrate the Lunar New Year: Noon to 4 p.m. Celebrate the Year of the Snake and the grand opening of Village Gourmet, 601 Newfield Ave., in Stamford. Proceeds will go to Kids In Crisis.
