Monday, Dec. 3
Instrumental Scholarship Competition: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Exceptional student musicians are invited to try out for two scholarships, $10,000 for first place and $7,000 for second. For more information, visit the Stamford Symphony’s website.
Board of Representatives: 8 p.m. The Board of Representatives will hold its monthly full board meeting to discuss and decide upon issues facing the city. The meeting will take place in the Legislative Chambers on the fourth floor of the Stamford Government Center.
Tuesday, Dec. 4
Civility In America: 6 p.m. Edward Reilly, president and CEO of American Management Association, will talk about “Civility In Management” at the Ferguson Library downtown.
Board of Education: 6:45 p.m. The board will meet to discuss and elect its leaders for the upcoming year. The meeting will take place in the conference room on the fifth floor of the Stamford Government Center.
Wednesday, Dec. 5
Mambo, Massage and Merlot: 8:30 p.m. Dance With Me Studios, 20 Summer St., will host its weekly party, and will be donating the proceeds of the night to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. Admission is $15 per person.
Thursday, Dec. 6
College Recruiting Panel: 6:30 p.m. Athletic coaches and administrators from local colleges will be at Chelsea Piers Connecticut to help explain the recruiting process. The event is free; Chelsea Piers is located at 1 Blachley Road.
Friday, Dec. 7
A Merry Mulberry Street Musical: 8 p.m. Curtain Call will be showing their holiday play until Dec. 16. Ticket prices are $29 for adults, $22 for senior citizens and $14.50 for students and children.
