STAMFORD, Conn. — Here are a few events going on this Thanksgiving Week in Stamford, to see what else is happening in the area visit the Events Section.
Monday, Nov. 19
Civility and the Art of Giving Thanks: 6 p.m. Georgette Mosbacher, CEO of Borghese Cosmetics, will speak about the importance of gratitude at the Ferguson Library’s on-going event. The event will take place at the main library downtown.
Tuesday, Nov. 20
Planning Board Meeting: 7 p.m. The board will continue meeting with city departments and working toward putting together the capital budget for Stamford. The meeting will take place at the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd.
Wednesday, Nov. 21
Vacation Drop-Off Day: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Stamford Museum & Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road, will be hosting a morning full of programs for children 4 to 6 years-old. Admission is $35 for members and $45 for non-members.
Thursday, Nov. 22
High School Football: 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Stamford High and Westhill High will meet in their annual city rivalry game and Trinity Catholic will head to Fujitani Field to play Wilton High School. The Black Knights will host the Vikings at Boyle Stadium, 55 Strawberry Hill Ave., and Fujitani Field is located at 395 Danbury Road, Wilton.
Friday, Nov. 23
Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat: 7:30 p.m. Head over to the Kweskin Theatre for Curtain Call’s production of “Joseph & the Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Ticket prices are: $29 for adults, $22 for senior citizens and $14.50 for students and children. Thursday evening: all seats $20. The show will run until Dec. 16 with shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
