Monday, Sept. 2
6th Annual Family Fun Run/Walk: 9 to 11:30 a.m. The JCC’s 5K Family Fun Run, certified by USATF and professionally timed, is a Labor Day tradition for Stamford families. Funds raised from the event will benefit JumpStart at the JCC, a unique, therapeutic early-childhood classroom experience for 2- to 4-year-olds with special needs. Harvard Business School Alumni Angels: 3 p.m. The HBSAA will be offering free “Office Hours” at the Stamford Innovation Center. Individual members will meet with entrepreneurs or teams to mentor them on their business questions. Wednesday Night Pub Run: 6:30 p.m. A weekly social runs of 3 to 5 miles, open to all levels and abilities of runners. Free. Fleet Feet Sports Stamford, 168 Bedford St.

September Break Out Day - Year of the Snake! 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A day of special programs and self-guided activities for all ages to discover the ecology of these reptiles through crafts, stories and meeting live snakes. Watch "From Russia With Love:" 9 p.m. The second Bond film that solidifies all the film elements into a formula. Sean Connery as Bond has nailed down his role as 007 -- accentuating Bond's stylishness and sophistication, while toning down his cold-bloodedness. In "From Russia With Love," the bad guys don't want to take over the world. They want something more mundane -- a Russian decoding device.
