Monday, Oct. 1

Zoning Board: 7 p.m. The Stamford Zoning Board will hold a public hearing on several issues facing the city. It will be held in the fourth floor cafeteria at the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd.

Board of Representatives: 8 p.m. The full board will be holding its monthly meeting to discuss and decide upon issues facing the city. The meeting will be held in the board’s Legislative Chambers on the fourth floor of the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

Planning Board: 7 p.m. The board will be holding a regular board meeting to discuss and decide on several issues. The meeting will be held in the Land Use Area on the seventh floor of the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd.

Wednesday, Oct. 3

Board of Education: 5 p.m. The school board will hold a special meeting to discuss the goals for the board and the superintendent. The meeting will be held at the Ferguson Library, intersection of Broad and Bedford streets.

Sheraton Wedding Expo: 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Local wedding professionals will be at the Sheraton Hotel, 700 East Main St., to help couples plan a fun and elegant wedding. Tickets are $5 or free to engaged couples.

Civility in America: 8 p.m. The series will feature WNYW Fox 5 News Anchor Ernie Anastos discussing Civility in America at the Ferguson Library, intersection of Broad and Bedford streets.

Thursday, Oct. 4

St. Cecilia’s 15th Annual Golf Classic: 7 a.m. The scramble-style golf tournament will have a shotgun start at Sterling Farms Golf Course, 1349 Newfield Ave. Men and women of all golfing abilities are welcome to participate.

A Taste of Italy: 5:30 p.m. Atria Stamford and Pellicci’s Ristorante, 96 Stillwater Ave., will host a night of food, music and raffles to support the Stamford Hospital Breast Center. For more information, call 203.327.4551.

Rock & Roll Radio Legend Carol Miller: 6:30 p.m. Get a backstage look through the eyes of Carol Miller who will be discussing her new memoir, “Up All Night: My Life and Times in Rock Radio,” at the Ferguson Library, intersection of Broad and Bedford streets. Tickets are $15.

The Legends of Rock Live: 7:30 p.m. The Avon Theatre, 272 Bedford St., will be showing rare concert and behind the scenes footage of The Bee Gees. Ticket prices are Carte Blanche: Free, Members: 6, Students/Seniors: $8, Nonmembers: $11.

Friday, Oct. 5

Marilyn Maye with Billy Stritch: 8 p.m. Marilyn Maye will be taking the Stamford stage Friday night at the Palace Theater, 61 Atlantic St. Ticket prices range from $38 to $75.

Kenny Mehler Concert: 10 p.m. Kenny Mehler, a top acclaimed singer/songwriter in Connecticut ,will be at Bar Q, 261 Main St. (behind Black Bear Saloon). There is a $5 cover charge.
