Back To School Storycrafts: 4:15 p.m. Get ready to school with stories and a craft. Free. Ferguson Library, Intersection of Broad and Bedford Streets, Stamford.

Teen Reading Club Finale: 5:30 p.m. An invitation-only party where participants  have dinner and see a movie followed by raffle and prizes. Free. Ferguson Library, Intersection of Broad and Bedford Streets, Stamford.

Saturday, Aug. 24

Nature-Based Birthday Parties Saturday: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Nature based birthday parties including age-appropriate activities for children ages 3 – 12  on four nature inspired themes: Green Gardener, Underground Investigation, Reptiles and Amphibians, and Nature Art. Winter 2013 Pottery and Ceramic Art Classes Registration: Noon. The class is designed for the beginner and for those who have taken beginning pottery classes in the past, and will cover the basic and intermediate level working with clay.
