The dinner dance’s aim is to support prevention and treatment of post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury among veterans.
Several dignitaries have confirmed their attendance, including U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), state Sen. Carlo Leone (D-Stamford/Darien) and Stamford Mayor David Martin.
A number of veterans will also attend the event, including retired Army Maj. Ben Richards. Richards was awarded a Purple Heart in 2014 for post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.
Billy & The Showmen will perform live music at the Warriors Ball.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. at Knights of Columbus, 507 Shippan Ave., Stamford.
Tickets are $75 per person, or $140 for a pair.
Proceeds will benefit Stand For The Troops, an organization devoted to helping troubled veterans with invisible wounds such as post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.
