Donna McLaughlin Wyant, of Stamford, will direct “Porphyra: A Grecian Rock Opera,” which is a unique journey through Greek and Russian culture that takes place during Western Europe’s Dark Ages.

Wyant will direct “Porphyra: A Grecian Rock Opera,” which is a unique journey through Greek and Russian culture that takes place during Western Europe’s Dark Ages.

Wyant won a Grammy Certificate for songwriting and has won Emmy and CLIO awards for her career as a theater and film writer and producer. She also has an extensive career as a director and actress.

The world premiere of “Porphyra: A Grecian Rock Opera” is at 8 p.m. Sunday.
