Stamford's Franklin Street Works Presents 'Show And Tell: Fandom'

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Franklin Street Works and storytelling organization Ignite Stamford are presenting “Show and Tell: Fandom” on Sunday, May 17.

Jeremy Deller's video "Our Hobby Is Depeche Mode" is the inspiration for the 'Show and Tell: Fandom' event at Franklin Street Works.

Participants are encouraged to share a two- to three-minute story about a moment where they were a big fan and then show an item reflecting their fandom, such as an autographed ticket stub.

The collaborative storytelling event's theme of fandom was inspired by Jeremy Deller's "Our Hobby Is Depeche Mode." Deller's feature-length video piece shows Depeche Mode fans from all over the world and is currently on view in the group exhibition "It's gonna take a lotta love."

Franklin Street Works at 41 Franklin St. will host the free event on May 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. To sign up, email info@franklinstreetworks.org or visit Franklin Street Works by 5:00 p.m. on May 10.
