Stamford's Ferguson Library Hosts Girls' Afternoon Out With Fashion Experts

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Ferguson Library in Stamford will welcome two fashion experts for a fun Girls' Afternoon Out.

At the event, which will take place at the Ernest A. DiMattia Jr. Main Library on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m., visitors will meet fashion experts David Zyla and Eila Mell, authors of "How to Win at Shopping: 293 Insider Secrets for Getting the Style You Want at the Price You Want to Pay."

The authors, with deep experience in fashion shopping and styling, will offer hundreds of insider tips to save money and time – from finding the perfect jeans, to scoring the best deals online, to avoiding department store traps. For the person who loves to shop, there is priceless information on each page of this new book. For the person who hates to shop – here’s the game plan to avoid aggravation and make it work. 

David Zyla is an Emmy Award-winning stylist who's worked in film, television, and Broadway. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in politics and entertainment, including Hillary Clinton, Neil Patrick Harris, Tom Hanks, and Susan Lucci.

Eila Mell writes about fashion for The New York Times, Marie Claire, and The Huffington Post. She is also the co-author of "Project Runway: The Show that Changed Fashion and New York Fashion Week."
