STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Ferguson Library in Stamford will host a series on job training during October. Events include public speaking, resume writing, and how to put your best foot forward and land a job.
The following programs focus on careers this month at the library:
- On Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Harry Bennett Branch will host Lunch & Learn: No Fear Presentations where you can learn skills for public speaking.
- Learn to write effective cover letters on Oct. 9 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and receive resume coaching on Oct. 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the main downtown Ferguson Library.

- The Ferguson Library also offers a chance to network with potential employers at a career fair on Oct. 16, from noon to 5 p.m. at the main downtown Ferguson Library.
- Scott Herckis, owner of a local financial and accounting services firm will present information on income tax and finance strategies for small businesses on Oct. 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.at the Harry Bennett Branch.
The downtown Ferguson Library is located at One Public Library Plaza, Stamford. The Harry Bennett Branch is located at 115 Vine Road, Stamford.
