Kids' Summer Reading Club Finale -- Saturday, August 24 at 11 a.m. Palace Theatre, 61 Atlantic Street, Stamford Live performance of The Swingset Mamas. Must have received an invitation as part of the 2013 Summer Reading Club. Generously supported by the Stamford Center for the Arts. Ticket is good for one Bookworm and an adult escort. Must have ticket to be admitted.

Teen Reading Club Finale -- Friday, August 23 at 5:30 p.m. Main Library Third Floor Auditorium. An invitation-only party for participants of the Teen Summer Reading Club. Have dinner and see a movie. Raffle and prizes. Must present ticket and arrive before Library closes at 6 p.m

Summer Reading Club Finale -- Kenn Moore Band, Wednesday, August 21 from 7 to 9 p.m., Harry Bennett Branch. Enjoy the unique sounds of alternative/folk rock with the Kenn Morr Band.

Families
India's Culture -- Sunday, August 25 at 2 p.m. Main Library Third Floor Auditorium. Indian dance, food and readings. Sample rice from different countries. The first 30 families will receive a free copy of the picture book, "Everybody Cooks Rice," by Norah Dooley and Peter J. Thornton. Co-sponsored by the Connecticut Humanities Council.
