Stamford's Church Of The Archangels Heralds Annual Greek Fest

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The annual Greek Fest at the Church of the Archangels in Stamford, known for its fabulous food, music and fun, will take place rain or shine Sept. 25 to 28. Admission is free.

Greek Fest hours are 5 to 11 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, and Friday, Sept. 26; noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27; and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28.

In addition to Greek fare, including shrimp kabobs, souvlaki, pastitsio, moussaka, lamb, spanakopita, and roasted chicken and a variety of delicious Greek pastries baked by the church women, this year’s event includes a variety of vendors and the return of many carnival rides and games.

There will also be a religious bookstore and tours of the Archangels church.

Other attractions include music by the Grecian Nights, dancing, Greek coffee and frappes, fine wines, honey balls (loukoumathes) and other surprises.  Raffle tickets also are available at the church and during the festival.  The grand prize is a 2014 BMW 320i xDrive.
