Stamford's Avon Theatre Presents Documentary On Egyptian Revolution

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Avon Theatre in Stamford will screen the documentary "The Square" on Thursday, Jan. 9, at 7:30 p.m. 

"The Square" follows a group of Egyptian revolutionaries as they battle leaders and regimes, risking their lives to build a society of conscience from the overthrow Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in 2011 to the ousting of the Muslim brotherhood in 2013. 

There will be a post-screening question-and-answer session with filmmaker Jehane Noujaim.

Tickets for the event are $6 for members, $8 for students and seniors and $11 for non-members. There is no charge for Carte Blanche members.
