Stamford’s Donna Wyant, an award-winning composer, director and actress, is helping to produce the event for the center and is encouraging residents of Stamford and other surrounding towns to register to audition.

"We know that there is so much talent out there in the community in Stamford and around Fairfield County and we want to encourage anyone 10 years old and up to audition,” Wyant said. “We are so excited to give contestants a chance to shine on stage in front of our accomplished judges. There are also great prizes for both children and adults."

Wyant is an Emmy and CLIO award-winning writer and producer and her songwriting has earned her a Grammy Certificate, as well as numerous other industry awards.

The popular fundraising event features cash prizes for adults and children, and accomplished entertainment professionals as judges for auditions and finals. Twenty finalists will compete for top prizes in front of a live audience at Darien High School. Auditions are open to all, ages 10 and older. Contestants are not required to live in Darien, but must register to audition by Saturday, May 14. Click here to register.

Auditions will be held Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, 22 at the Darien Arts Center’s Weatherstone Studio. New this year is that prizes will be awarded for the top three adult and top three children winners.
