The band, one of the greatest pop bands ever, performed its hits at the last Alive@Five concert for this year in downtown Stamford on Thursday evening.

The Beach Boys, currently touring with original lead singer Mike Live as well as Bruce Johnston who joined in 1965, have been an American institution ever since they first exploded out of the Southern California music scene.

A large crowd filled Columbus Park on a warm late summer night to listen to the Beach Boys.

The summer concert series kicked off July 10 with another legendary group, KC & The Sunshine Band, followed by the Barenaked Ladies, the Under the Sun tour, Ed Kowalczyk and Jake Miller on the following weeks.
