The hunt will run from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 19, at Heckscher Farm at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center at 39 Scofieldtown Road in Stamford. Children ages 6 and younger can bring their own baskets and hunt for hundreds of eggs that will be hidden all over Heckscher Farm.

"Once eggs have been collected, they can be turned in for a goody bag. Parents and older siblings are welcome to come along in support," a press release said.

After the hunt on Heckscher Farm, families can stop by the Overbrook Nature Center to learn about other spring eggs.

"Discover the special eggs of salamanders and why bird eggs come in different shapes and colors," a press release said.

The event is $5 per family for members and $5 per family plus gate admission for non-members. For more information, residents are asked to call 203.322.1646 or visit the Stamford Museum website
