Stamford Museum Hosts Nighttime Amphibian Amble

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Museum & Nature Center will host an amphibian amble Friday, April 11, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Children should bring a flashlight and hiking boots for the chance to see wood frogs, American toads and spotted salamanders lay eggs in the nature center's vernal pools. 

The event was delayed from March due to the cold temperatures and frozen pond. 

Admission is $5 for members and $8 for nonmembers. This event is recommended for children ages 5 and older. 

Registration is required, and space is limited. Call 203- 977-6521 to reserve a spot. 

The Stamford Museum & Nature Center is at 9 Scofieldtown Road in North Stamford.
