The event is both a chance to honor retired Probate Judge Gerald M. Fox and to raise funds for the Ride to Wellness Medical Transportation program.

SilverSource, formerly called Senior Services of Stamford, raised nearly $60,000 for their services during last year's golf tournament. The organization specializes in programs and services for area seniors, helping residents deal with senior issues, the Ride To Wellness Medical Transportation program and individual counseling.

The tournament begins with a luncheon and registration at 12:30 p.m., with the round to start at 1:45 p.m. There will be team awards, individual winners for those closest to the pin, along with longest drive and putting contests. A dinner, auction and raffle will follow the round.

Costs for the tournament are $800 for a foursome and $200 for individuals.

Sterling Farms Golf Course is located at 1349 Newfield Ave. in Stamford. All are welcome to register for the tournament.
