All proceeds for this event will go towards a scholarship to the Wilderness School in memory of Kyle Cruz.  Cruz, 17, a city resident and student at Stamford High School, died on Oct. 30, 2013.

A "Trunk or Treat" is a safe trick or treating event where people park in a lot and decorate their car or tailgate and hand out Halloween treats. Each child will then go from trunk to trunk to collect candy treats. All proceeds from this event will go towards the Kyle Cruz Scholarship at the Wilderness School located in East Hartland, Conn. The Wilderness School is a prevention, intervention, and transition program for at-risk adolescents from Connecticut. The school offers high impact 20-day and five-day wilderness programs intended to foster positive youth development.

Admission is $5 per child. The church parking lot is  on Kirkham Street. Visit the UMC Trunk Or Treat Facebook page for more information.
