Stamford Celebrates 101 Years Of Albanian Independence

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford residents of Albanian descent are invited to a flag-raising ceremony to commemorate the 101st year of the country's independence from the Ottoman Empire on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.

The ceremony will be held at the Stamford Government Center and will include cultural activities and distinguished speakers.

Admission is free, and the event is expected to last until 5:30 p.m.
