To date, the fundraisers have raised more than $100,000 for patients at St. Jude's. This year, guests will enjoy a live auction hosted by Stamford’s comedian Michael Motts Pelazza, and a silent auction – both with items from which 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to St. Jude. Guests will also enjoy dinner, beer, wine, a cash bar and dance performances, including a very special dance performance with musical accompaniment by members of Stamford’s Young Artists Philharmonic.
Grammy-nominated Salsa band New Swing Sextet will also perform.
The Seventh Annual St. Jude Fundraiser is sponsored by the Connecticut Salsa Fest, a community-based, family-oriented event now in its 12th year with dance performances, professional dance instruction by internationally acclaimed instructors, a live band, professional disc jockeys from around the U.S., South America and Canada, and social dancing for youths and adults taking place this weekend from Friday through Sunday at the Stamford Marriott Hotel and Spa.
