Oscar-Style Glitz, Glamour Comes To The Avon In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — Hollywood-style glamour and the Oscars came to downtown Stamford on Sunday, courtesy of the Avon Theatre, which staged its seventh annual gala and fundraiser while simulcasting the ABC broadcast of the Academy Award celebration.

In addition to viewing a live streaming screening of the awards, attendees also enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as well as a buffet supper and then cake and coffee.

Guests were encouraged to dress up as their favorite Pink Panther character -- and the Panther himself was in attendance.

The Avon Theatre is a member-supported, nonprofit cultural hub, dedicated to presenting film in its highest form, and thriving because of the support of our patrons and community. The Avon Theatre is located at 272 Bedford St., Stamford.
