Clinton Or Trump? Cheer Your Candidate At Debate Party At Westport Library

WESTPORT, Conn. -- An airing of the final presidential debate between Democratic nominee Hilary Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump will be offered Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Westport Library along with a community discussion.

Former news correspondent and author Eric Burns will moderate the discussion after the debate.

Burns worked for NBC News and the "Today" show. For 10 years, he was the host of "Fox News Watch," and he has won an Emmy for media criticism. 

He is the author of "The Golden Lad: The Haunting Story of Quentin," "Theodore Roosevelt, 1920: The Year that Made the Decade Roar," "Infamous Scribblers," "The Spirits of America" and "The Smoke of the Gods." The latter two were named Best of the Best by the American Library Association.

Light refreshments will be available at the program, which is free and open to the public.

The evening will begin at 9 p.m., with the doors opening at 8:45 p.m. It will be held in the McManus room at the library, 20 Jesup Road, Westport.
