Buses will run from New Canaan to Stamford, while making all stops in between. But riders are warned that buses may operate earlier than scheduled trains.

The regular service is changed to allow for track work and tie replacement along the New Canaan Branch, Metro-North said.

Riders should listen for announcements and check for local or express bus service for the destination while boarding, Metro-North said.

Regular train service will be available from the Stamford station along the main New Haven Line.

Buses will run instead of New York-bound trains at 10:20 and 11:20 p.m. Friday and for New Canaan-bound trains at 9:06, 10:06 and 11:23 p.m. and 12:06 a.m. as well as for all trains in both directions on Saturday and Sunday.

After New Canaan, stops are at Talmadge Hill, Springdale and Glenbrook and finally Stamford.
