JoyRide Fashion Show To Benefit Arts For Everyone At Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — JoyRide Cycling Studio and Jade are hosting the third annual Joy of the Arts Fashion Show to benefit the Ridgefield Playhouse’s Arts for Everyone program — and tickets go on sale Monday.

JoyRide instructors Cindy Tamburri, Tricia Buffardi, Amanda Grant and Anne Stauff will model.

The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Lounsbury House, 316 Main St., Ridgefield, and tickets can be purchased online

At the fashion show, JoyRide's female instructors and avid riders will model the latest athletic and leisurewear from Jade, a fitness clothing boutique in New Canaan owned by Maxine Berg, a Wilton resident.

Two male instructors will model Rhone gear.

All proceeds from the Fashion Show will benefit the Arts for Everyone program at The Ridgefield Playhouse, an outreach program that donates tickets to families from low-income areas, other nonprofit organizations, and Title 1 schools that cannot afford to purchase tickets to Arts in Education shows that supplement their curriculum.

Last year, the program distributed more than 2,000 tickets to shows.

The JoyRide instructors who will walk the runway are Amanda Grant of Ridgefield; Cindy Tamburri and Tricia Buffardi, both of Weston; Anne Stauff of Wilton,  and Jared Marinelli and Adam Keller, both of Redding.

The eight JoyRiders who will model are Ridgefield residents Andrea Minardi, Debbie Haughney, and Allison Stockel; Wilton residents Kelly Lowry, Dana Nickel, Kristy Snyder and Tammy Ward; and South Salem, N.Y., resident Catherine O'Sullivan.

“As instructors, we spend so much time with our riders and it’s amazing to celebrate our loyal, joyful JoyRide community at this annual event,” said Tamburri, who has also modeled in the last two shows. “We get to cheer on the models, see everyone dressed up and raise money for a great cause.”

Since co-founders and Westport residents Amy Hochhauser and Rhodie Lorenz started JoyRide more than five years ago, they have seen how indoor cycling can help people improve their health, become stronger physically and emotionally and overcome challenges on and off the bike.

The culture of JoyRide is more than fitness: it’s a culture of good health, paying it forward, supporting one another and spreading joy, its owners say.

JoyRide Cycling Studio is dedicated to calorie-torching, endorphin-surged and high-energy indoor cycling and strength training classes. Its training method combines core elements of Pilates with indoor cycling to maximize cardiovascular benefits and burn calories and fat.
