The special service, sponsored by AIDS Interfaith Stamford, will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.
The church is located at 42 Cross Road.
The annual service is a “genuine experience of spiritual and community support,” said the Rev. Dr. Douglas McArthur, the church’s pastor.
Faith communities can act together to comfort those “infected and affected” by HIV and AIDS and to raw attention to their plight, he added.
Eight panels from the Project Names Quilt will be on display.
The service will feature music by the Stamford High School Madrigals, the United Methodist Church Chandel Choir, Rose of Sharon Anointed Worship, and the New World Chorus. The Locust Preparatory Company will also perform.
Members of the InterAct Club of Westhill High School, Respect, FUMC Youth Group, Rainbow Café, BuildOn, and Westhill Gay-Straight Alliance will greet participants and host other aspects of the service.
