All five schools earned an "A+," "A," or "A-" grade from the website, which uses analysis of federally-provided academic and student life data as well as test scores, college data, and reviews from millions of reviewers to assign the rankings.

Each school is also assigned grades for individual categories such as academics, teachers, diversity, and college prep.

Each of the top five Suffolk County schools earned high marks for diversity. However, their grades for other categories slightly varied, with Boston Collegiate Charter School earning a "B+" and "B-" for academics and teachers, respectively, and Brooke Charter School — Roslindale earning "B" grades for academics and college prep.

All five schools also had slightly worse scores for clubs and activities, with none of them earning higher than a "B+" for the category, and some, such as the Boston Collegiate Charter School, O'Bryant School of Math & Science, and Boston Latin Academy, earning as low as a "C+."
